Ryne is a native of LaGrange County, graduating from Lakeland High School in 2010. He attended the University of Toledo where he studied political science with a focus on business and economics. Ryne served under Mayor Michael P. Bell, Mayor D. Michael Collins and Mayor Paula Hicks-Hudson while employed at the City of Toledo. He held several critical roles, including Mayoral Intern, Mayor’s Assistant to Economic Development and Business Development Specialist. He was also active on campus and in the community, participating in University of Toledo Student Government, the International Business Association, the Future of Toledo Initiative, EPIC Toledo, the Mayor’s Coalition for Hope, and many others. Ryne’s philosophy for economic, business and community development is holistic, innovative, and results-driven, with a particular focus on entrepreneurship development and support, education, workforce development, and main street improvement and blight reduction. It is also his firm belief that for LaGrange County to be truly successful, completely embracing the goals, objectives and vision of the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership is essential. He currently serves on the Elevate Ventures Regional Advisory Board, LaGrange County Community Foundation Board of Directors, Northeast Indiana Regional Opportunity Council, NEIN Regional Partnership Board of Directors and is Vice Chair of the NEIN local economic development organization (LEDO). Ryne is a resident of Wesler Lake in Wolcottville, Indiana and enjoys spending time with nearby family and friends, recreation on the many lakes in LaGrange County, attending local, college and professional sporting events, and volunteering with local organizations.
