After sending a new county comprehensive plan to the LaGrange County Commissioners with a favorable recommendation on Monday, the LaGrange County Plan Commission approved a contract with McBride Dale Clarion to create a unified development ordinance.

The unified development ordinance (UDO) will update county zoning laws. The comprehensive plan is a guide to community development created over the past 16 months by LaGrange County Together – led by the LaGrange County Community Foundation, the LaGrange County Plan Commission and a 24-person steering committee of local residents, business owners and elected officials – with assistance from Planning Next. The process included multiple opportunities for public input.
